Where is the race?
The race will be held at The Greenbrier, a world-class resort and National Historic Landmark, in White Sulphur Springs, WV. The race will start at The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center (a short walk from the main entrance of The Greenbrier on The Greenbrier grounds) and finish on the North Lawn.

What day is the race, and when does it start?
The race is on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The official start time for the half marathon and 10k will be 7:00 am. The 5k will start at 7:15am.
Will participants receive any merchandise?
Each racer will receive a high quality race tech t-shirt (shown below) offered in both men’s and women’s size shirts, and all participants will also receive a participant gift along with access to numerous Event Deals. A link to view and claim the Event Deals will be emailed out prior to the race and can be found on the race page.
Will there be medals for participants?
All finishers will receive this beautiful 4" finisher medal!
We will do all we can to make sure each of our races is produced as planned, but runner safety is always our top priority. If we have to cancel a race because of weather or circumstances outside our control, refunds will not be issued.
Will there be professional photographers and photos for purchase?
Yes! Professional photographers will be on site for the race and will provide photos for purchase.
Is there a time limit?
Yes, there will be a 4 hour time limit for each distance.
When is packet pick-up?
Packet pick-up will be held Friday, May 19 from 4pm-8pm at The Greenbrier and race morning near the start/finish area from 5:15am-6:15am. Please note that there will be a $10 charge (cash or card) to pick up your race packet on race morning, Saturday, May 20.
Can I pick-up someone else’s packet?
If you have a picture of their photo ID, yes you can. A picture on your phone works well!
Where can I find the results?
Results will be posted in real time on our website! We will also send you a text message during the race with a link to view the results after you finish.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds will not be issued for any reason. You may change your race distance online until Monday, May 15 at 5:00pm EST, after that you will need to change your race distance in person. To change your race distance in person please stop by the customer service table at packet pick-up or on race day. Please note: If you do not change your race distance either online or in person with a Capstone Event Group staff member prior to the race start, you will be disqualified from the event.
What food and drinks will be on the course?
The course will have feature plenty of aid stations, and water and sports drink will be served at the aid stations.
Will there be bathrooms on the course?
We will have two Rent-A-Johns at each aid station on the course.
Can I wear headphones?
It is unsafe to wear headphones while running. Event organizers will not restrict headphone use and leave it up to the athlete on his/ her ability to follow direction while wearing headphone devices. If you do choose to wear headphones please keep the volume level down so you are able to hear and follow the direction of course volunteers. We have a unique course where you MUST listen to volunteers.
Can someone else run in my place?
No, you are not allowed to transfer bib numbers.
Can I register on race day?
We're sorry, but the race is sold out and race day registration will not be available.
Are walkers allowed in the race?
Yes, however, you must meet the requirements of the completing the race in 4 hours or less (any distance).
Are baby joggers, strollers or pets allowed during the race?
No. This is to ensure runner safety and comply with liability insurance policies.
